My name is Lanie Coulter, I am a 17 year transplant from a farm in Central Illinois. Please don’t call me a Yankee, I am a Mid-Westerner, there is a BIG difference! I live inChickamauga with my husband of almost 15 years, Neal, and our 7 year old son, Zeb. I also have a beautiful step-daughter, Jessica who will be gracing us with a handsome son-in-law, Jon, next May. Even though I haven’t lived here all my life, this is my home. I love this area and can’t imagine being anywhere else! I have many hobbies and enjoy many different things. I love to travel and see new places, but I also love to be at home. I love gardening, reading, hiking, photography, music and concerts, sports and lots of different crafty things! My most recent and most interesting hobby is beekeeping. The honey bee is an incredible creature. And… I loved the Chicago Cubs even before they were good!
I graduated from Western Illinois University in 2000. I majored in Agriculture and minored in Communications. My minor is what got me my job in radio sales many years ago.
But I like to consider myself a marketing specialist, but it’s also known as an account executive, for Entercom Communications. You will know them as US101, ROCK 105, KISS FM, 98.1 The LAKE and REAL 96.1. I don’t have the excited job of being on-air. I’m typically a behind the scenes type gal. I’m a doer… I get things done. But I’m stepping out of my comfort zone and gonna go for the chance to fly that ‘W’ flag. If you aren’t a Cubs fan, you might not get that, I basically just said I’m in it to win it!!!
I love to dance but have never taken any type of formal dance lessons. My son Zeb and I have regular dance parties in the kitchen, but I’m not sure how much experience that gives me in a ballroom dancing type scenario. Dancing this type format has been a long time dream. So I’m looking forward to cutting loose, having some fun and learning a lot from my Pro Partner, Mark.
But what really excites me even more is the opportunity to help people of our area.
My family has always been blessed with decent insurance and have been healthy for the most part. We’ve never had to question whether or not to buy groceries or go to doctor. The sad thing is many in our area are faced with those hard decisions regularly. It wasn’t until I visited and toured one of Primary Healthcare clinics that my eyes were really opened. Our area really needs more assistance and that’s where Primary Healthcare Centers come in to play. I’m so humbled and very honored to have this opportunity to make an impact for the children and families of North Georgia!
Remember when I mentioned above that I want to fly that W flag… I’m serious y’all. I’m just a wee-bit competitive and really want to win this thing. But to do that we need your help. We need votes and by votes I mean dollars!! Every dollar is a vote. Supporting me is your opportunity to make a different, HERE LOCALLY, in and around North Georgia. Primary Healthcare plays a very important role and impacts the lives of so many and by supporting us and this amazing organization you can help too! I ask for you to join me in the effort to support Primary Healthcare Centers! Every dollar counts! Every dollar makes a difference! Please support me and Mark but donating today! Or better yet, buy a table or tickets and come watch us dance. It’s gonna be a blast!
